Ajman Real Estate Regulatory Agency (ARRA) said it has participated in the APREA Property Leaders Forum held April 20-22 in Singapore.
The 3-day forum discussed the ‘real’ issues of the moment affecting the real estate industry and new regulations to cope with current developments in the area of real estate industry.
“The event is restricted to regulators and industry senior players where real estate concerns were identified, discussed and dissected.
Among the topics we have discussed in the conference were the state of play and challenges presented in today’s operating environment, future investment trends, issues on the product side, including benchmarks, the nature of allocation and valuation as well as economics of sustainability and corporate governance,” said Omar Al Barguthi, ARRA Director General.
On his part, Peter Mitchell, CEO of APREA said:
"This year's APREA Property Leaders Forum was the most successful we have held since we initiated this annual event in 2005. We had 250 delegates from 22 countries, bringing together some of the world's leading real estate professionals from a wide range of companies, regulators and industry bodies to discuss issues critical to the continued development of this industry in Asia and the region. We are delighted with the keen response and excited about the ongoing opportunities for APREA and its member organizations to push ahead and make a difference within both developed and developing markets."
APREA works to encourage greater investment in the real estate sector in the region through the provision of better information to investors, improving the general operating environment, encouraging best practices and generally unifying and strengthening the industry.
